Last year’s table
Hey friends! Last year at Sport Hill Farm this is what our table looked like.
This is what we looked like at the very beginning. No help. No marketing with our business name. In this photo, we had already sold out of fresh mushrooms. It’s important we document it now because it’s about to change.
You can already see the change starting with our tinctures. There are more of them than last year and the labels make it easier to tell them apart. In a later post, I’ll talk about what’s changed about them from the inside out.
For now, know that we will be adding more market locations and regular foraging classes to our schedule. If you want fresh mushrooms or to take a class with us, meet us face to face. Check out our events page to see where and when.
On the radio
James made an appearance on The Organic Farm Stand over at WPKN in March. After a land acknowledgement, he talked about mushrooms native to Connecticut and how we grow mushrooms professionally. Also a bit about how it might look when folks grow at home.
We’ve already been getting feedback but if you were listening and had questions, ask in the comments and we’ll follow up.
Our first Substack post
We are updating our shop page every week with more product. The part of the vision that will take longest to realize is the cool mushroom merch. We will post updates about that process as it happens. And it’s likely to be debut in the paid area first.
See you in your inbox. Or at our table! Or at a dance?! Or in the woods!
Loving the new labels!
