There's something about witnessing a business at its beginning.
I was at Sound coffee’s 1 year anniversary party when it occurred to me, you can tell a lot about a business by attending their event. It’s easier to see personality at a brick and mortar, like sound coffee, where cassette tapes (chosen by the owner?) literally line the walls.
This is especially true with a new business that hasn’t had the time to consider a brand strategy. They’re still busy growing and thriving, in spite of the challenges all new businesses face. Just being at the party, we saw which albums Jeff was listening to a decade (or two) ago. We heard music that Sound coffee likes. We saw the treats they prefer.
It was a whole vibe.
Businesses are like babies. All parents will relate to the difficulty of sustaining babies, especially at first. You don’t sleep. You barely eat. First time parents are figuring out what to do to keep the baby alive and relatively happy. Still, No matter how wrinkly (and loud) they might be, everybody wants to see the new baby.
Come see our (business) baby!
We hope to host a series of events at the new property. Most related to Mushroom Microfarm, but possibly other kinds as well. Regardless of the inspiration for Bridge Fest, the event itself offers opportunities that transcend our goal. It’s a beautiful location that would be wonderful for other kinds of events.
And so with this all in mind, this letter will include reasons to go to Bridge Fest and, over the next few days, I will feature links to the musicians and food etc. We are in talks with more folks than displayed here. We are only showing who is confirmed as of today.

Things to remember
You must RSVP. We aren’t selling tickets at the door.
When you grab your ticket you are added to the guest list, which we will check at the gate. Please RSVP.
Even if you’re going as a volunteer, grab your free ticket and RSVP. Even if James knows you’re volunteering, I don’t until you RSVP. And that’s how I know where to send you volunteer info. Please RSVP.
You can donate to our cause at any time here.
Thank you
We’ve met and gotten closer to many farmers, businesses, musicians, and artists while preparing. Thank you for helping us put this together! And to those that have RSVPd already, see you soon!!!
